Before You Say “Can We Talk?”
Matthew 18 has often been used as a procedure for confronting, escalating, and excluding. But Jesus places those instructions between a shepherd who goes looking for the wandering and a call to forgive without keeping score. Christian correction is meant to seek truth, protect the vulnerable, restore where possible, and remain accountable to the mercy of Christ.
