About Me

I have a deep passion for faith, theology, and the life of the Church. I have also seen what happens when theology is distorted, watered down, or used in ways that wound rather than heal. Even well-meaning churches can sometimes cause real harm in the name of Jesus. That reality has only made me care more deeply about helping people hear the Gospel clearly and understand the Christian faith in a way that is faithful, life-giving, and true.

I have served in worship ministry for more than twenty years, and I am ordained and have also served as a pastor. Although my journey has taken me away from pastoral ministry in the formal sense, I still carry a deep heart for ministry and for helping theology make sense to people in everyday life.

What Jesus offers is not manipulation, performance, or a maze of spiritual hoops to jump through. The gift of Christ is grace: life-giving, freeing, and given without strings attached. At its best, the Church has always been called to bear witness to that gift. One of the ways the Church has long done that is through its music, and hymnody in particular is something I love to explore.

My hope is that this is a place where you can encounter the beauty, depth, and goodness of the Christian faith with less of the baggage that so often gets piled onto it. Here you’ll find reflections on theology, hymns, and the life of faith, all grounded in a biblical and historic vision of Christianity.

I’m glad you’re here.
