Worship in the Modern World

Praising God with the Best of the Past and the Present

The Blogroll

I really like reading blogs. I read LOTS of them. In fact, I have well over 50 Blogs that I read on a regular basis. I’m always looking for new insight, great ideas, or just interesting stories. I thought I’d share some of my top picks from the regulars. You might want to check these out.

In the Business World:

  1. Brand Autopsy This guy (John Moore) has some great insight into the business world and why certain business live while others kick the bucket.
  2. Tom Peters Weblog This guy is a business guru – while some of this goes over my head, it’s still great stuff to read!

In the Church World:

  1. Butch Whitmire Creative Arts Pastor at Granger Community Church. I do wish he’d post more often because I’d love to get into his head and behind the scenes at GCC. I love what they’ve got going there.
  2. Church Marketing Sucks While I generally agree with the title, I love that these guys are trying to educate churches in how to be more effective in marketing to an unchurched and skeptical crowd. (Plus, they often show some of the projects they’re working on – great place to get ideas!)
  3. ChurchRelevance.com A tremendous resource for church leaders trying to stay relevant – packed with information on culture and society and how it relates to what we’re doing.
  4. Ken Newton A former co-worker of mine, Ken is a brilliant thinker with an incredible vocabulary (if you’re like me, you may need to keep a dictionary handy) and a real heart for the business side of Church.
  5. LeadingSmart Tim Stevens from GCC – an excellent look into the world of Granger.
  6. You Can Know God This is the lead pastor of a church that began roughly the same time Journey did, yet they’re now averaging over 500 people per week. What’s the secret?

Just for Fun:

  1. Indexed This is my kind of math! Life situations are summed up on index cards in a mathematical-flash-card-sort-of-way.
  2. Truemors You have to be careful with this site because you could end up spending an entire day reading the collection of news, events, and just bizarre things from around the world posted here everyday.

Any others I should be reading??
