Sunday Setlist – September 27, 2009
WHAT A WEEK! This week was the third and final installment of Dangerous Church, and what a week it turned out to be. We started the series asking what would happen if the staff of Journey disappeared – would it cease to be or would it continue. We almost found out. Pastor Bob was heading home last night and while driving, swerved to avoid a dog that ran out in front of him. He collided with a telephone pole, severed the pole and ended up in a horse pasture. After several hours in the ER, he emerged without any broken bones or head injuries. He was in a great deal of pain, so there was no way he was going to be able to preach. Long story short, I ended up giving the message – a first for me. Talk about nerve wracking! But God showed up and took over and it went great.
The Service

Nice set – great songs – and glad that your pastor is well.
No way to explain this kind of weekend apart from God totally showing up and taking over! Sounds like it went great – so, so glad nothing bad happened to your Pastor!
It was totally a God thing – I am in no way a preacher and was SO incredibly nervous about giving a message I had less than 12 hours to prepare for, but God took over and it went great.
