Sunday Setlist: June 19, 2011
At Journey, we’re in the middle of a great series called The Elephant in the Church. So far, we’ve tackled hypocrisy, evolution, and this week: legalism. The church is supposed to be known for grace, forgiveness and love, but reality is quite different. Pastor Bob has a great message, which you can hear over at Journey’s podcast.
Today’s service at Journey of Faith
- All Because of Jesus – Steve Fee
- Hosanna – Starfield
- Mighty to Save – Hillsong (A note on the video link: It’s not the arrangement that we did today, but WOW! I want to do it that way sometime!)
- The Message – The Elephant in the Church: The Grey Elephant – Legalism
- Communion
- Give us Clean Hands – Chris Tomlin
- Father’s Day Video
- Your Grace Is Enough – Chris Tomlin
This blog is part of the Sunday Setlist over at TheWorshipCommunity.com. Check out what other churches did today.
Love the series title and theme, Matthew! Looks like a pretty rocking set as well.
Terry
Thanks Terry, although we can’t take full credit for the series. We got the idea from Mark Batterson at National Community Church in Washington DC. They even built a resource site with graphics and videos, although we altered the graphics to better fit our crowd. Check out their site, http://theelephantinthechurch.com/ if you’re interested.
I love the sermon series also….I think it would be good for our church right now. I’ll have to check out that link. Good set man!
