Sunday Setlist – February 27, 2011
Here’s a look at today’s worship at Journey of Faith:
Today, we looked at what each of are: WE are the CHURCH. It’s so easy to forget that church isn’t something we go and do, but something that we are. The biggest challenge and difficulty is that every single one of us (at least this is true for those who call Journey their church home) are Journey. Wherever we go, whatever we do, we are Journey of Faith. In a way, it’s a frightening concept, because for a lot of us it means that there are some things in our lives that may not reflect Christ and his church. But it’s what God has called us to be – his church and his representatives to a lost and hurting world. Maybe it’s time we own-up to that responsibility, strive to make the changes in our lives to better reflect who we represent and go be the church that we are called to be!
Today’s Worship:
All to You – Lincoln Brewster
Let the Praises Ring – Lincoln Brewster
Holy is the Lord – Chris Tomlin
Message
How Great is Our God – Chris Tomlin
Offering and Prayers
Beautiful One – Tim Hughes
It ended up being a Tomlin/Brewster Sunday unintentionally. It’s funny how that works out sometimes!
This blog is part of the Sunday Setlists blog carnival at TheWorshipCommunity.org. Check out what other churches did did today.
Were you at Journey today? I’d love to hear your comments!
nice setlist Matthew.
your comments remind me of a t-shirt I have. the front says “don’t go to Church (that prompts some interesting responses) – the back declares, “be the Church.”
stay connected,
terry
Hey Terry- I’ve seen that shirt! (Or at least one like it) Outreach.com has some great products around that idea too. We didn’t end up using them since it was just a one week thing, but if it were a series, we probably would have looked into getting them. http://bit.ly/hAS6Iv
