Worship in the Modern World

Praising God with the Best of the Past and the Present

Phoenix – Day 3

Today I drove with my mom down to Tucson to visit my Aunt Deanna. She’s my grandmother’s twin sister and since my grandmother passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s a few years ago, Deanna brings back lots of great memories of both her and my grandmother. She’s also a ton of fun! She has the greatest sense of humor and when we all get together we nearly can’t stop laughing. We had lunch at a little Mexican restaurant and the people at the tables around us must have thought there was a three drink minimum by the way we were laughing and carrying on.

The drive between Phoenix and Tucson is basically straight, but there’s lots of cool scenery to see. The mountains are definitely bigger in Tucson, but I think over all I like Phoenix better than Tucson (Although I’m basing this on a few hour trip in Tucson – perhaps with more time there that feeling could change…).

Tomorrow is Day 4 – the halfway point of my trip!
