300 Posts: A Blogging Milestone

Print Friendly

It’s been 4 years 3 months and 10 days since I launched this blog project and today, I reached my 300th post. To celebrate, I’m going to repost some gems from the past as well as some new ones as I continue on this Journey.

When I think back to those beginning days, so much has changed…

  • I started this blog when I was just 7 months into my new position at Journey. This was (and still is) the only church I’ve ever helped start. I was brand new to church planting. Now, nearly 5 years into this church plant, I’m still no expert, but experience has taught me a lot!
  • I was in a season of transition in my approach to ministry.I came from an approach to ministry that was much different from where I am now. When I started this blog, I was still discovering so much of what I now consider to be foundational to how I approach ministry in the context of the world we’re in now.
  • I switched blogging platforms. When I started, it was with a free account on Blogger.com, Google’s blogging platform. About 2 years ago, I switched to WordPress, bought my own domain name and a hosting package. The power and flexibility WordPress offers is so much better than Blogger (at least it was at the time when I switched).

It’s been a crazy ride of discovery, growth, and exploration and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store!
